The Stockdale Mustangs will challenge the Paso Robles Bearcats at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Stockdale sitting on three straight wins and Paso Robles on four.
Stockdale's tournament run continued when they took on Bullard on Saturday. The Mustangs came out on top against the Knights by a score of 5-2.
Andres Ochoa looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2025.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Alexander Blain, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That stolen base was his first of the season. Brock Johnson was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Paso Robles earned a 6-3 victory over Cabrillo on Thursday.
Ethan Rendon made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has become a key player for Paso Robles: the team is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 2-4 otherwise. Rendon was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, Marcus Garcia was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
Paso Robles now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Stockdale, their win bumped their record up to 4-1-1.
