Softball Recap: Choctaw Takes Down Ranked Enid

Choctaw faced Enid in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Yellowjackets' pitchers stepped up to hand the Plainsmen a 12-0 shutout. The Yellowjackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 games by six runs or more this season.

Choctaw's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 24-3. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Enid, their loss dropped their record down to 25-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Choctaw will head out to face off against Moore at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Enid, they will venture away from home to challenge El Reno at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
