The Jordan Red Jackets will head out on the road to face off against the Manchester Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Jordan is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.

Jordan is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Columbus just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 4-3.

Jordan saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Catlin, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another was John Dollar, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Manchester was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 15-0 to Mt. Zion.

Manchester's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13-1. As for Jordan, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.

Manchester's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Jordan has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.1 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Manchester, though, as they've been averaging only 3.2 strikeouts. Will Jordan keep running through batters, or will the Blue Devils buck the trend?

Jordan skirted past Manchester 6-4 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Jackets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
