After losing to the Greencastle-Antrim Blue Devils the last time they met, the Columbia Crimson Tide decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Columbia took down Greencastle-Antrim 55-40 on Friday.
Despite the loss, Greencastle-Antrim saw an underclassman step up: Ellie Bilger scored nine points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bilger has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Haley Noblit, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Columbia's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Greencastle-Antrim, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbia's road trip will continue as they head out to face Delone Catholic at 4:45 p.m. on January 6, 2024. Greencastle-Antrim and Big Spring will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Big Spring will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
