Chase Thomas was his usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Hudson Torres, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Denton's win bumped their record up to 12-16. As for Richland, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-17.
Denton will be playing at home against Colleyville Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Colleyville Heritage presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Denton in Texas (Colleyville Heritage is ranked 72nd, while Denton is ranked 412th). As for Richland, they will head out on the road to face off against Argyle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Argyle will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive.
