Northern Bedford County stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Moshannon Valley 51-24 at home. Northern Bedford County pushed the score to 43-11 by the end of the third, a deficit Moshannon Valley cut but never quite recovered from.
Meanwhile, Juniata Valley struggled with assists on Monday (Williamsburg had 13 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Juniata Valley was outmatched by Williamsburg on the road and fell 63-26. Juniata Valley has struggled against Williamsburg recently, as their match on Monday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Juniata Valley had strong showings from Maddie Hopsicker, who scored 11 points along with two steals, and Kassidy Watson, who scored nine points. Hopsicker is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played.
Juniata Valley struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Northern Bedford County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Juniata Valley, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.
