Aliquippa is on a four-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Farrell is on a seven-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Aliquippa Quips will be home for the holidays to greet the Farrell Steelers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Last Saturday, Aliquippa came up short against Mt. Lebanon and fell 55-44. While losing is never fun, Aliquippa can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while Mt. Lebanon is ranked fourth).
Meanwhile, Farrell was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past West Middlesex 85-14 at home. 85 seems to be a good number for Farrell as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Farrell can attribute much of their success to Dontaye Bell, who scored 18 points, and Danny Odem III, who scored 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Juelz Johnson, who scored ten points.
Aliquippa's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Farrell, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
