The Corning Cardinals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their 12th straight loss. They were beaten by Orland 52-25. Corning has struggled against Orland recently, as their matchup on Wednesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Orland found their leader in underclassman Lillianna Rowe, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Cali Rosales was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Corning dropped their record down to 1-19 with that defeat, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Orland, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-14 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Gridley the next time they take the court. Corning will head out to face Gridley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Orland will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
