The Olympian Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Olympian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.
Olympian took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Hilltop, sneaking past 6-4.

Aaron Gonzalez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Sebastian Diaz and Hector Peralta did most of the damage at the plate: Diaz went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Peralta went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. That's the most RBI Diaz has posted since back in March. Nico Cintron was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mater Dei Catholic). Everything went their way against Sweetwater on Monday as they made off with a 22-6 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Crusaders needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.
Xavier Castro looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Mater Dei Catholic is 3-1 when Castro allows one or fewer earned runs, but 5-11 otherwise.
At the plate, Mater Dei Catholic got a massive performance out of Kaij Ordaz, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Colton Gregg also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Mater Dei Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Olympian's record now sits at 14-7-1. As for Mater Dei Catholic, their win ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-12.
