Morgantown had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.3 goals) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Robert C. Byrd Eagles a 3-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Morgantown, who have now won eight matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Anthony Vessecchia and Cameron Wheeler scored all three of Morgantown's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 22 goals.

Morgantown's victory bumped their record up to 11-3-4. As for Robert C. Byrd, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-6-2.
