With a playoff game on the line, the Woodcreek Timberwolves rose to the challenge on Saturday. They never let the Lancers onto the board and left with a 9-0 win. Considering Woodcreek has won six contests by more than three goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Woodcreek's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 41 goals over those seven matchups. As for Cordova, their loss dropped their record down to 12-2-3.
Woodcreek will face off against Granite Bay at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Woodcreek will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each match than the last. Cordova does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
