Regis Jesuit and Heritage are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2016, but likely not for long. The Raiders will face off against the Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Regis Jesuit knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Heritage likes a good challenge.
Regis Jesuit was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Douglas County on Monday. The Raiders blew past the Huskies 16-6.

Alex Tavlarides made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one RBI.
In other batting news, Jill Samaras and Alexis Colvin did most of the damage at the plate: Samaras went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Colvin got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Caitlin Fairchild was another key player, earning two runs and four stolen bases.
Regis Jesuit kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Heritage came up short against Chaparral on Monday, falling 13-1. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly 12 runs.
Caitlin Chamaty made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run.
Regis Jesuit's record now sits at 6-11. As for Heritage, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Regis Jesuit hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .347. However, it's not like Heritage struggles in that department as they've averaged .352. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Regis Jesuit might still be hurting after the 15-0 loss they got from Heritage in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Can the Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
