Basketball Recap: Panther Creek Now 9-3 over Last 12 Games

Panther Creek won the last time they faced Cary, and Andre Richardson did his part to make sure it happened again. The Panther Creek Catamounts narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Cary Imps 61-58 thanks in part to Richardson, who went 6 for 13 on his way to 18 points and three steals. Those 18 points gave him a new career-high.

Several Imps players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chase Cleveland, who went 8 of 11 en route to 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lee Podger, who posted eight points and eight rebounds.

Panther Creek has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for Cary, they now have a losing record at 8-9.

Panther Creek wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 56-40 loss against Green Level on the 28th. Cary has also already played their next contest, a 91-89 defeat against Apex on the 28th.
