In Friday's league contest, the host Panther Creek Catamounts basketball team scored a close 61-58 triumph over the Cary Imps.

The Catamounts (10-7) will now prepare for their contest against Green Level (Cary, NC). The Gators go into the 4A Southeast Wake contest with a 14-2 record. In their last contest, Green Level nipped Apex (Apex, NC), 71-51, in a league contest.
