In Friday's non-league contest, the host Panther Creek Catamounts basketball team scored a good 67-55 triumph over the Apex Friendship Patriots.

The Catamounts (7-5) will now prepare for their contest against Green Hope (Cary, NC). The Falcons go into the 4A Southeast Wake contest with a 7-5 record. In their last contest, Green Hope topped Lee County (Sanford, NC), 68-50, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Patriots confront the North Davidson Black Knights (Lexington, NC) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 28. Apex Friendship will attempt to better on its 7-4 season record. The Black Knights go into the contest with a 7-2 record after their 71-52 non-league win over Jordan-Matthews (Siler City, NC).
