Basketball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Millennium's Fourth in Last Five Outings

If Waterford wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Millennium, they should've done a better job of containing Sarah Digiallonardo. The Millennium Falcons came out on top against the Waterford Wildcats by a score of 33-20 on Thursday thanks in part to Digiallonardo, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 18 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down ten or more in the last five games she's played.

Millennium is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.4 points per game. As for Waterford, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Millennium will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Denair at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
