Football Recap: Strong Effort on D from AJ Perong and CJ Caranza Leads Alleghany over West Wilkes

Alleghany won the last time they faced West Wilkes and John LeMasters did his part to make sure it happened again. The Trojans came out on top against the Blackhawks by a score of 17-10 on Friday with plenty of help from LeMasters, who rushed for 127 yards and one touchdown on only 15 carries. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 88-yard run.

Alleghany's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB six times. The heavy lifting was done by AJ Perong and CJ Caranza, who racked up four sacks between them. LeMasters got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Alleghany's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1. As for West Wilkes, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
