After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Pius X Catholic, Southwest DeKalb was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Northview Titans with a sharp 13-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won five games by 11 runs or more so far this season.
The team relied heavily on Nyla Denbow, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Madelyn Flournoy, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI.
Southwest DeKalb always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northview only posted an OBP of .286.
Southwest DeKalb's record is now 6-2. As for Northview, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.
