In what's become a running theme this season, the Foothill Cougars gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They breezed by Red Bluff on the road to the tune of 67-30. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-10.
Foothill's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kalli Smith led the charge by scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalea Thomas, who scored nine points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Foothill has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Red Bluff, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Foothill will take on Enterprise at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Enterprise is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Red Bluff, they will be playing at home against Pleasant Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pleasant Valley presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Red Bluff in California (Pleasant Valley is ranked 51st, while Red Bluff is ranked 548th).
