The Apple Valley Christian Warriors lost against the Lucerne Valley Mustangs back in February of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Apple Valley Christian suffered a tough 26-6 loss at the hands of Lucerne Valley. Apple Valley Christian has not had much luck with Lucerne Valley recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mandy Hall, who scored four points.
Apple Valley Christian bumped their record down to 1-4 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 10.5 points per game. As for Lucerne Valley, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-4.
Coincidentally, Apple Valley Christian and Lucerne Valley will both be playing Excelsior Charter the next time they take the court. Lucerne Valley will head out to face Excelsior Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Apple Valley Christian will host them at 5:30 p.m. on January 12, 2024.
