Tug Valley hasn't had much luck against Man recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Hillbillies at 6:00 p.m. Tug Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
Tug Valley came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-4 to Shelby Valley.

Tug Valley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chandler Copley, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Copley is becoming a predictor of the Panthers' success: when he posts at least three hits the team is 3-1 (and 13-15 when he doesn't). Gavin Fitzpatrick was another, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Man ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Wayne 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hillbillies have posted since April 22nd.
Noah Maynor made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Grayson Sanders was excellent, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Braxton Sword, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
Man's record now sits at 11-15. As for Tug Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 16-16.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Tug Valley has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Man struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
