Alamosa's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They blew past the Gunnison Cowboys 19-12. Considering the Mean Moose have won ten contests by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Alivia Miller was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in October of 2024. Makissa Quinlan also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
Alamosa was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are 10-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Alamosa's record is now 15-9. As for Gunnison, they moved to 12-12 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
Alamosa wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 10-0 loss against Southeast Colorado on the 18th. Gunnison does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
