Baseball Recap: Royal Gets the Win

While Royal put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Bellflower. The Highlanders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 win over the Buccaneers. The Highlanders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Buccaneers, too.

Caden Sramek looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Royal secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Noah Vasquez, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Royal's record now sits at 17-4. As for Bellflower, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Royal will face off against Oak Park at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bellflower, they will take on La Mirada at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
