The Ellwood City Wolverine can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Thursday. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 52-22 win over Laurel. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-10.
It was another big night for Claire Noble, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Delaney Sturgeon, who scored 12 points.
Ellwood City has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for Laurel, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.
Ellwood City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Laurel, they will head out on the road to square off against Knoch at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Laurel is coming into the match with six straight losses on the road, meaning Knoch will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
