Baseball Recap: Frontier Gets the Win

While Frontier's win against Central wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Frontier narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Central 5-4. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Titans also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Matthew Montes looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in May of 2024.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ronnie Machado, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Landon McDonald, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Frontier now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Frontier wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 9-7 defeat against Ridgeview on the 25th. As for Central, they have also already played their next matchup, a 4-0 win against St. Joseph on the 25th.
