Coastal Christian fell 45-33 to Bishop Diego on Friday. Coastal Christian has not had much luck with Bishop Diego recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Leading Bishop Diego to victory were Galilea De la cruz and Diana Mendez. De la cruz scored 15 points, while Mendez scored 16 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which De la cruz has scored at least 25% of Bishop Diego's points. Another player making a difference was Jaymi Coronado, who scored 6 points.
Coastal Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Bishop Diego, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Coastal Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Holy Martyrs Armenian at 7:00 p.m. on December 2nd. As for Bishop Diego, they will be playing at home against Paraclete at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Paraclete will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 530th, while Bishop Diego is ranked 97th).
