Given Mountain Iron-Buhl's advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota football rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Bigfork is ranked 56th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Cook County can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 58-14 win over Kelliher/Northome at home. With Cook County ahead 38-0 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Cook County can attribute much of their success to Hunter Rex, who threw for 52 yards and two touchdowns, and Macoy Fairbanks, who picked up 107 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Jordan Backstrom got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Mountain Iron-Buhl's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Cook County, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
