The Highlands Scots lost against the Rio Vista Rams back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Highlands took a 38-24 bruising from the Rams. Highlands has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Samiah Holley was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 steals for Rio Vista. Holley is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed eight or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Guadalupe Valdenegro, who dropped a double-double on ten rebounds and 12 steals.
Highlands' defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Rio Vista, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Highlands will take on the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Vacaville Christian is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Rio Vista, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Spartans at 6:00 p.m.
