Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask JW North). They blew past the Heritage Patriots 10-0 on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Huskies considering their one-run performance the contest before.
Not much got past Thomas Salter, who gave up just two hits to keep Heritage off the board. Salter also tossed a walk, which is notable because JW North is 3-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 3-18-1 otherwise.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Isaiah Sanchez, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Logan Bittner, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.
JW North moved to 6-19-1 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak. As for Heritage, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 19-9 record.
