The Jenkintown Drakes suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They fell just short of MAST Community Charter by a score of 37-35. Jenkintown has not had much luck with MAST Community Charter recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
It was another big night for Rylie Fitzsimmons, who scored seven points along with 15 rebounds and five assists for MAST Community Charter. Fitzsimmons has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last nine times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyleigh Murphy, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Jenkintown's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for MAST Community Charter, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-6.
Jenkintown won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Upper Bucks Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th. As for MAST Community Charter, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Mercy Career & Technical at 4:00 p.m.
