The Washington Prexies waltzed into their game on Monday with four straight wins but they left with five. They blew past California 60-36. Washington pushed the score to 48-26 by the end of the third, a deficit California had little chance of recovering from.
Washington got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Olivia Woods out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten steals. Woods is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaprice Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
Washington's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-8. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.9 points per game. As for California, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.
Washington will square off against Bethlehem Center at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Washington focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Monday. As for California, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Frazier at 7:00 p.m. California is facing Frazier at the right time seeing as Frazier is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
