Softball Recap: Central's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

With a playoff win on the line, Central rose to the challenge on Monday. They never let the Southwest DeKalb Panthers get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. Considering the Lions have won 15 games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was Central's eighth in a row) raised their record to 24-8. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Southwest DeKalb, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-7.

As of now, neither Central nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
