The Columbia Eagles will face off against the South Atlanta Hornets at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Drew Charter hit Columbia with a five-run second inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles fell just short of Drew Charter by a score of 11-10. The Eagles haven't had much luck with Drew Charter recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Willesha Wilson led a balanced group of hitters, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Parker-Hailey Thomas, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Atlanta). Everything went their way against Redan on Monday as they made off with a 26-2 win. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by eight runs or more this season.
South Atlanta got a massive performance out of Laniya Collins, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Riley Jackson was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with five stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI.
South Atlanta always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .771. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .588 or higher in four consecutive matchups.
South Atlanta pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 14.4 runs. As for Columbia, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Columbia has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .714. However, it's not like South Atlanta struggles in that department as they've averaged .708. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Columbia might still be hurting after the 20-7 loss they got from South Atlanta in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Will the Eagles have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
