Baseball Recap: Covenant Christian Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Horizon Christian Academy last Monday, Covenant Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Covenant Christian Academy Rams took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Horizon Christian Academy Warriors on Tuesday. The matchup marked the Rams' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Asher Bond made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-5. Bond is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least two every time he's taken the field this season. Garrison Barton was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Bond wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Covenant Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Covenant Christian Academy fell to 4-1. As for Horizon Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Coming up, Covenant Christian Academy is taking a road trip to take on North Georgia HomeSchool at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Horizon Christian Academy, they will welcome Scholars Guild Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Horizon Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.
