The Madison Warhawks were the 65-32 winner over the Bayfront Charter Sharks when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Madison fell just short of Bayfront Charter by a score of 38-35. Madison has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Madison's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jocelyn Kettles, who scored four points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sierra Minshew, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Madison now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Bayfront Charter, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4-1.
Madison won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against El Cajon Valley at 6:00 p.m. on December 13th. El Cajon Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1035th, while Madison is ranked 434th). Bayfront Charter will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Mission Bay at 6:00 p.m. on December 14th.
