The Claysburg-Kimmel Bulldogs were the 38-36 winner over the Southern Fulton Indians when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Claysburg-Kimmel received a tough blow on Monday as they fell 54-35 to Southern Fulton. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Claysburg-Kimmel has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Claysburg-Kimmel lost, one person who can't be blamed is Elias Ritchey. Despite the final result, he scored six points along with six assists and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cory Walter, who scored five points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Southern Fulton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sam Stotler out in front who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. Hunter Ward was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with two steals.
Claysburg-Kimmel's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Southern Fulton, they pushed their record up to 8-6 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Claysburg-Kimmel will head out on the road to challenge Southern Huntingdon County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southern Fulton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fannett Metal at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
