Softball Recap: Eaton Extends Road Winning Streak to Five

Eaton won the last time they faced Brush and things went their way on Thursday too. The Reds' pitcher stepped up to hand the Beetdiggers a 6-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Reds, who have now won 12 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Bria Foster was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Foster was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Emma Anderson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Brooklynn Minne, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Eaton's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.4 runs over those games. As for Brush, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-5.

Coming up, Eaton will take on Riverdale Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Brush, they will head out on the road to face off against Resurrection Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
