At the plate, Kingsway got a massive performance out of Kyle Shields, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That triple was Shields' first of the season. Ashton Ford was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Gloucester Catholic's win bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Kingsway, their victory bumped their record up to 17-4.
Saturday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Gloucester Catholic has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .477. However, it's not like Kingsway struggles in that department as they've averaged .461. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
