The Piedmont Panthers struggled with threes on Tuesday (the East Mecklenburg Eagles had 500% more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Piedmont ended up on the wrong side of a rough 74-54 walloping at the hands of East Mecklenburg. Piedmont was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-14.
Piedmont's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryan Little, who scored 10 points. Miles Leaks was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
East Mecklenburg's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bryson Heath led the charge by scoring 22 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists. The game was Heath's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ahmari Hicks, who scored 23 points.
