The Palmyra Cougars entered their tilt with the Mechanicsburg Wildcats with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Palmyra secured a 40-34 W over Mechanicsburg on Wednesday. For Palmyra, this counts as revenge for the 44-32 defeat Mechanicsburg walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Palmyra's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Addison Salus, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mya Doster, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and four blocks.
Palmyra's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. As for Mechanicsburg, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
Palmyra will look to defend their home court on Friday against Hershey at 7:00 p.m. Hershey comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Mechanicsburg's road trip will continue as they head out to face Milton Hershey at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th.
