On Saturday, Jeannette didn't have quite enough to beat Northgate and fell 27-24. Jeannette has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Jeannette saw an underclassman step up: Adriana Allison dropped a double-double on 13 points and 10 steals. Allison scored a full 54.2% of Jeannette's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Venicia Vignoli, who scored 7 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals.
Jeannette's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Northgate, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jeannette will take on Springdale at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Northgate, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Brashear at 6:00 p.m.
