The Liberty Bison will square off against the Cornerstone Christian Crusaders at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Liberty came out on top against Valley View on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run sixth inning. The Bison walked away with a 10-5 victory over the Eagles. The Bison haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Ian Slater was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Liberty's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 8-9 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Feidner, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI.
Meanwhile, Cornerstone Christian entered their tilt with Bethel Christian on Tuesday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Kings a 20-0 shutout. The Crusaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 18 matchups by six runs or more this season.
Jayden Soto was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, Steel Hoham was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lucas Gomez-Creguer, who went 2-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI.
Cornerstone Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bethel Christian only managed four hits.
Cornerstone Christian pushed their record up to 21-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for Liberty, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9.
Liberty came up short against Cornerstone Christian in their previous meeting back in April of 2022, falling 5-1. Can the Bison avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
