There's no place like home for the Lathrop Spartans, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 48-37 victory over Los Banos on Thursday. That's another feather in the cap for Lathrop, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Lathrop was led to victory by Shakara Porter and Tatiana Lowery. Porter dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds, while Lowery scored 20 points. Porter hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for 21 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Marianna Delgado, who scored five points along with three steals.
Lathrop pushed their record up to 15-7 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.7 points per game. As for Los Banos, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-9.
Lathrop will head out on the road to face off against Ceres at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Ceres focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Thursday. As for Los Banos, they will be playing at home against Beyer at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
