Santana entered their tilt with Mount Miguel on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They really took it to the Mount Miguel Matadors for the full four quarters, racking up a 54-23 win. The Sultans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Leading Santana to victory were Sam Mora and Kaliyah Cruz. Mora posted 17 points and three steals, while Cruz had 14 points and four steals. The game was Mora's third in a row with at least 16 points. Harper Diaz was another key player, putting up ten points and five rebounds.

Santana's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.0 points over those games. As for Mount Miguel, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 18 of their last 20 matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-23 record this season.

Looking ahead, Santana will head out to square off against West Hills at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. West Hills will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Santana surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mount Miguel, they will host El Cajon Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (El Cajon Valley has three straight victories, Mount Miguel has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
