The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Orange Glen in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost five in a row.
It was another big night for Katie Busch, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 17 rebounds for Tri-City Christian. That makes it three consecutive games in which Busch has scored at least a third of Tri-City Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Desiree Mercado, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Orange Glen has not been sharp recently as the team's lost nine of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Tri-City Christian, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-7.
Orange Glen will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. As for Tri-City Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Pointers at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st.
