After flying high against the Eastern Montgomery Mustangs last Thursday, the Roanoke Catholic Celtics came back down to earth. Roanoke Catholic had to suffer through a rough 47-17 loss at the hands of Virginia Episcopal School. Roanoke Catholic has not had much luck with Virginia Episcopal School recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Sasha Brody was her usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with six steals and five rebounds for Virginia Episcopal School. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Brody has scored at least 25% of Virginia Episcopal School's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyraha Parnell, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Roanoke Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Virginia Episcopal School, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-4.
Roanoke Catholic will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Eastern Montgomery at 1:00 p.m. on December 29th. Virginia Episcopal School will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on New Covenant at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
