On Saturday, Weequahic came up short against Barringer and fell 50-40.
Several Indians players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Shaun Hamilton, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Hamilton pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tyhir Barlow, who scored 17 points.
Weequahic's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Barringer, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.
Weequahic won't have much time to rest: their next game is against St. Joseph at 2:30 p.m. on January 21st. St. Joseph has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 201 points over their last three matchups. As for Barringer, they will head out on the road to challenge Nutley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nutley is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
