Moorpark is a perfect 10-0 against Oak Park since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. Moorpark will welcome Oak Park at 3:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Moorpark is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest defeat since February 21st on Saturday. They fell just short of Camarillo by a score of 5-3. The Musketeers haven't had much luck with the Scorpions recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Moorpark got a good showing from Ronan O'Connell, who tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. O'Connell has become a key player for Moorpark: the team is 5-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 0-4 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Moorpark saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Cerny, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. Another was Taylor Busch, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, Oak Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of Oxnard.
Tyler Kutsch was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Kutsch was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Max Brusca made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-7. Tyler Perez was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-7.
Even though they lost, Oak Park kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Oak Park's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6-1. As for Moorpark, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
