Elk River extended their winning streak to 11 games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Carsyn Kleffman. The Elks took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 60-20 win over the Sauk Rapids-Rice Storm with plenty of help from Kleffman, who rushed for 113 yards and three scores on only 12 carries, and also picked up 49 receiving yards and one touchdown. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing one fumble and making two total tackles (1.0 for loss).

Another player making a difference was Brody Medcalf, who rushed for 62 yards and one TD.incredibly, Medcalf got all that yardage with just one huge run

Elk River didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brody Thompson and Owen Anderson.

Elk River's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Sauk Rapids-Rice, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Elk River will square off against St. Francis at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sauk Rapids-Rice, they will head out to square off against Brainerd at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
