After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mayfield, Avon was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They blew past the North Vikings 3-0. The Eagles not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 16th (when they won 3-0).
Avon never let North on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-23, 25-20.
Landon Gomez paced Avon's offense, picking up nine kills. Gomez got some help from Keegan Tarkany and his 22 assists. Nole Kutsko controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Avon is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. As for North, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-7.
